NaNo No No
My best efforts weren't good enough this year: I didn't get to 50,000 words in November as part of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo).
As the graph below shows, after a promising start where I got through 12.5% of the total word count on the first day, the wheels fell off and I only managed to write sporadically for the second half of the month. My final 30-day total was 37,804.

So, that was a failure then. At least in terms of "winning" NaNoWriMo 2021. However, I'm not looking at it as a failure.
I got over half of the first draft of Book 4 in the Valerie Series written in November. Plus, since NaNo concluded, I've added another 6,000 words to the draft and I hope to complete it within the next week or so.
Given how much I've struggled with my writing over the past two years, I'm taking this as a huge win and I feel as though I'm back in the zone.
