5 Facts About the Valerie Series
This week I've published my fifth novel, Max. It's the third novel in the Valerie Series, a set of books about a mismatched politician and taxi driver struggling to make a relationship work through their differences (and an unhealthy dollop of lies and misconceptions).

To celebrate, here are 5 facts about Max and the Valerie Series that may be of interest to readers:
I never intended to write a series. In fact, there was one heck of an unhappy ending in the first book but I changed my mind dramatically.
The name of the cab firm in the series (Pinder Cabs) is a homage to the area of my hometown where my grandparents used to live.
The political characters in the novels are all amalgamations of different politicians - there are some heavy influences in characters like John Foster though!
Stevie Lee, the new character introduced in Max will feature in her own novel soon, so watch out for that.
Max marks the end of what I call the "personal past trilogy" of novels but it's not the end of the series. So far, personal issues stemming from the past have affected the family. From now on, we're looking forward - and politics is going to get in the way even more.
I hope you've enjoyed the Valerie Series so far. Remember to sign up to my newsletter to keep up to date with what's going on next for Max and Valerie (and what's next for Stevie Lee too).
All three novels in the Valerie Series can be purchased on Amazon and will be going wide to other retailers later in the year. Watch this space!
